Edith Larpei

Kenya

Edith Larpei, from Kenya, is a passionate participant in the Promoting Sustainable Agriculture and Marketing among Youth (PSAMY) exchange program in Zimbabwe and Kenya. Through this initiative, she works closely with farmers and farmer groups to transform and revitalize African food systems by focusing on capacity building, training, and community engagement.

With the support of the JWH grant, Edith plans to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at Egerton University, alongside a supplementary course in Environmental Impact Assessment. These programs will equip her with the necessary skills for personal development, the job market, and leadership, enabling her to apply environmental, economic, and governance strategies in future projects.

Edith values the opportunities the JWH grant has provided, including the chance to meet and collaborate with like-minded individuals. She hopes to gain knowledge and strengthen networks that support her vision for growth and a sustainable future.

Her dream is to enhance her professional abilities, become more resourceful to her community, and address challenges in climate justice spaces with competence and impact.
