Osvina Achah Tanga, from Cameroon, is a passionate advocate for climate justice, dedicated to addressing the pressing environmental challenges faced by her community. Growing up in a region deeply affected by climate change, Osvina has witnessed the disproportionate impact on vulnerable populations, particularly women and rural communities. Her work focuses on empowering these groups, advocating for equitable policies, and implementing sustainable solutions that address both environmental and social challenges.
With the support of the JWH Initiative grant, Osvina completed a comprehensive research project on environmental and climate justice in Cameroon. This transformative experience enhanced her leadership capabilities, deepened her understanding of sustainable development practices, and refined her skills in research methodologies, project management, and environmental diplomacy. The grant also supported essential aspects of her research, from fieldwork to the production of a final report, equipping her with invaluable insights and tools for effective advocacy.
