Leadership Objectives
Saritha’s goals for leadership development are to improve her personal abilities – technical skills, legal knowledge, local networking, as well as her pedagogic skills. The grant will support her work with the Nagai District Fisherwomen Federation in organising the community against activities that adversely impact the coastal environment. Her immediate plans are to identify enthusiastic adolescents in the 13-20 age-groups and train them initially on Community Mapping techniques and make Community maps for their respective villages. She hopes to use this as a starting point for their involvement in the larger campaign.
